Community Standards

Conjurly — The Magic Community

Every day, the Conjurly community — including Conjurly members and staff — works together to make Conjurly a safe, fun, productive, and inclusive community for magic enthusiasts and professionals.

These community standards are meant to help us all have enjoyable and illuminating experiences as we share our love for magic.

Thank you for being here and actively participating in this community. We appreciate your help in upholding these guidelines.

Standards for Participating in the Conjurly Community

Respect Your Fellow Members

Act with care and patience for your fellow community members. Remember that we are all here to share about and appreciate magic. This includes everyone on Conjurly — whether they’re new to the community, a staff member, or someone who has been here since day one.

Keep It About Magic

There are plenty of other places to talk about politics, religion, adult content, money, gossip, and other topics that get folks stirred up. Keep public conversations related to magic.

Connect Like a Human, Not a Bot

Act genuinely and thoughtfully when engaging with your fellow Conjurly members. Help us stay spam-free by not artificially collecting likes, followers, or shares; posting repetitive comments or content; or repeatedly contacting people for commercial purposes without their consent.

Keep Disagreements Civil

Differences of opinion are natural. Share your viewpoint in a manner that shows consideration for other members’ views. Keep discussion civil and on point.

Zero Tolerance for Harassment and Hate Speech

There are some behaviors we won’t tolerate. Do not use hate speech or offensive language, threaten another member’s safety or privacy, or harass anyone.

No Dangerous or Illegal Activity

Do not post or promote activities that endanger people or animals. Conjurly is not a place to support or praise terrorism, organized crime, or hate groups. The following are not allowed between private individuals on Conjurly:

  • Buying or selling firearms
  • Buying or selling alcohol or tobacco products
  • Buying or selling non-medical or pharmaceutical drugs
  • The illegal sale of animals

Post Authentic, Original Content

Do not post anything you don’t have the legal right to post.

Protect Magic Secrets and Methods

Be diligent about not exposing magic secrets and methods in public areas of the site. Do not expose the secrets or methods of commercially marketed tricks even in private forums unless the moderators have employed a screening of participants to verify their  ownership of the item. This is a matter of professional respect and community trust. Despite the modern world we live in, the magician’s code still stands. So pay attention to what you post for public view.

Use Accurate Account Information

You don’t have to use your real name on Conjurly, but we require members to provide accurate and up-to-date account information. Don’t impersonate others or create accounts to violate our guidelines or mislead others.

Consequences of Violating the Community Standards

Conjurly reserves the right, at our sole discretion, to enforce these standards. Depending on the nature and severity of the violation, consequences may include a warning, content removal, temporary suspension, or permanent account deletion. Serious or repeated violations will be escalated accordingly.
