This year’s picnic will feature: \n\n\nFried Chicken Lunch (catered – advance payment required) \n\n\n “One Trick” Contest – Show off your best single effect for fun & prizes! \n\n\n Dessert Contest – Bring your homemade sweets and wow us with taste & presentation! \n\n\n Live Magic Show – Special performance by Joe Weldon\n\n\n Prizes & Cash Awards – For both contests \n\n\n\n Schedule of Events: (Times may change but structure will stay the same.)\n\n\n11:00 AM – Arrival & Fellowship \n\n\n12:00 PM – Lunch \n\n\n1:00 PM – “One Trick” Contest \n\n\n1:45 PM – Magic Show by Joe Weldon \n\n\n2:15 PM – Cash Prizes for “One Trick” Contest \n\n\n2:25 PM – Dessert Contest Prizes \n\n\n\n Contest Rules\n“One Trick” Contest: \n\n\nPerform one trick only (cards\, coins\, mentalism\, escape\, close-up\, stand-up\, stage\, kids or adults). \n\n\nEffect must be clear and distinct—not a full act. \n\n\nThink Penn & Teller: Fool Us style—one effect\, up to 10 minutes. \n\n\nNo strict timer—we want fun\, not pressure! \n\n\nDessert Contest: \n\n\nMust be homemade (taste is key\, but clever decorations win bonus points). \n\n\nCommercial desserts (HEB cakes\, pies\, etc.) are welcome to share but not eligible to compete. \n\n\n\n Don’t miss out on one of our most anticipated events of the year—filled with fun\, food\, laughter\, and plenty of magic!
