Austrian Magician Fabian Fox Advances to Britain’s Got Talent Grand Final

Time-traveling motorbike act wins public vote in BGT Semi-Final 2

LONDON, May 4, 2026 — Fabian Fox is heading to the Britain’s Got Talent grand final.

The Austrian illusionist won the public vote in the show’s second live semi-final, claiming his spot on the May 30 finale show.

For his semi-final performance at the Eventim Hammersmith Apollo, Fox invited the judges to select a sequence of letters and numbers before mounting a motorcycle and riding it into a suspended cage — then vanishing entirely, reappearing moments later among the studio audience. When he returned to the stage, a video played revealing where he had “traveled” during his disappearance: to KSI’s primary school, the postcode of which had been spelled out by the judges’ chosen letters and numbers. Fox’s former teacher appeared in the footage, leaving KSI visibly shaken.

Simon Cowell called the performance “really clever” and “really brilliant.” KSI said it was one of the most incredible things he had ever seen and suggested it warranted the Golden Buzzer.

Fox, 26, grew up on a dairy farm in Krumbach, Austria, where his interest in magic began at age 10 with a simple magic set. He has cited David Copperfield as both his idol and a personal acquaintance.

In 2025, Fox placed as runner-up on the 17th season of Das Supertalent, the long-running German talent competition, and also competed on the 12th season of Italian competition series Tu Si Que Vales.

In his BGT audition, Fox demonstrated a teleportation illusion using two audience volunteers selected from rows chosen at random, ultimately earning three yes votes from the panel — with Amanda Holden the lone dissenter — to advance to the semi-finals.

Also advancing was Sadeck Berrabah & LMA, a synchronized dance group who earned a semifinal slot with a highly coveted Golden Buzzer from judge Alesha Dixon.

The final airs May 30 on ITV1 and ITVX.

UPDATE: May 17, 2026 – Fox will be joined in the Grand Final competition by fellow magician Rafferty Coope who won Semi-Final 4 after publication. See additional Conjurly coverage here.
