Pasadena, California, USA, August 19, 2026 — James Harrington and Marina Liani, the married mentalist duo competing as James & Marina, were eliminated from “America’s Got Talent” Season 21 during Wednesday’s live results show, ending their second run on the program.
The couple, who perform professionally as Mind2Mind, appeared in the season’s first live quarterfinal Tuesday, turning the private thoughts of judges and audience members into drawings onstage. Marina illustrated details pulled from audience volunteers, including a zodiac sign, a birthdate, and a childhood pet’s name, closing the routine with a portrait depicting the couple alongside judge Mel B and a randomly selected audience member. Judge Simon Cowell hit his red buzzer partway through the performance over its length, though the act continued to its finish.
James & Marina previously competed on “America’s Got Talent” Season 17 in 2022 under the Mind2Mind name, earning four yes votes in auditions but falling short of a live-show spot in the Deliberations round. The pair returned this season with a new routine, again earning unanimous approval from the judges before advancing through the new Judges’ Callbacks round on a pick from Mel B.
Beyond AGT, Harrington, from the United Kingdom, and Liani, from Ukraine, are based in Dubai, UAE. The pair won the 2025 FISM World Championship of Magic in the Mental Magic category and are currently performing a summer residency at the Fontainebleau Las Vegas. They also competed on “Britain’s Got Talent” in 2019 and “Ukraine’s Got Talent” in 2021, where they earned a Golden Buzzer and reached the finals.
