LOS ANGELES, California, USA, October 4, 2026 — A limited number of individual tickets are now on sale to the general public for the AFI Fest screening of Stealing Magic, the documentary following Vanishing Inc. co-founder Andi Gladwin’s hunt for the pirates selling magicians’ secrets online.
“Stealing Magic is coming to Hollywood! There are already limited tickets, but if you jump on it, you’ll be able to join us for the AFI screening. I’ll be there!” Gladwin wrote in a Facebook post today.
The screening, previously open only to AFI members and festival passholders, takes place Thursday, October 23, at 6 p.m. in Chinese 5 at the TCL Chinese Theatre in Hollywood. Individual tickets went on sale October 3. AFI Fest runs October 21–25.
The film will be followed by a conversation with director and executive producer Matthew Testa, producers Diane Becker, Melanie Miller, and Randy Pitchford, and co-producer Gabriela Gonzalez. Testa, Becker, and Gonzalez are all AFI alumni. Gladwin first shared the AFI selection on his way to the Yellow Springs Film Festival.
The 88-minute film world premiered at Tribeca in June, has since screened at DC/DOX and Magic Live, and opened the Yellow Springs Film Festival on October 1. It features Gladwin, Penn & Teller, Joshua Jay, George Luck, and Julie Eng.
Individual tickets for feature films are $19, with a four-ticket limit per person per screening. AFI members receive 20% off. Tickets are available on the AFI Fest film page.
