LAS VEGAS (KSNV) — Salmond Sit Down: Dr. David Shareef’s Incredible Journey from Muhammad Ali to the Magic Stag
Back in 1971, while still in elementary school, Shareef caught the magic bug after seeing Ali and discovering the larger-than-life personality and showmanship that made the heavyweight champion such an unforgettable figure. That early spark eventually became a lifelong passion and career in entertainment.
Dr. Shareef’s story goes far beyond magic. He is an 8th-degree black belt, holds a Doctorate in Psychology from Arizona, and has taken his craft around the world, performing in more than 10 countries. Along the way, he has had the opportunity to work with and be around some of the biggest names in magic and entertainment, including David Blaine, David Copperfield, Criss Angel, Penn & Teller, and many others.
But perhaps the most remarkable part of Shareef’s story is his determination away from the stage. After surviving multiple severe strokes, he faced challenges that could have stopped his career in its tracks. Instead, Shareef continued to fight his way back, eventually returning to the road and getting back to doing what he loves — performing magic.
